To support our team’s mission to proactively promote climate protection in Mexico, we are looking for a

Forest Carbon Project Coordinator

Together with our team, you will be overseeing the implementation of forest carbon projects in Mexico and thus proactively support us in promoting nature-based climate protection.

Your tasks

  • Responsible for the coordination of nature-based carbon projects in different regions across Mexico
  • Aligning the technical certification team with local forestry partners and strategic priorities of the management team
  • Regular reporting to key stakeholders and ensuring an efficient flow of information amongst participating organizations
  • Preparing and participating in strategic decisions to deliver the optimum impact for FORLIANCE, our partners and local ecosystems
  • Supporting the scouting of nature based carbon projects
  • Overseeing the delivery of KPIs for quality, schedule and finances
  • Coordination with the FORLIANCE team, including management, technical project development

Your profile

  • University degree in resource management, forestry, agriculture or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant project management experience in sustainable land use and forestry, preferably in Mexico
  • Proven experience of simultaneous management of nature-based projects with diverse international stakeholders
  • Experience in aligning the delivery of technical services with relevant business and financial KPIs
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to travel within Mexico (up to 25% of time)
